Marist 4 – Real Kakamora 1

Without their talismanic midfielder, Jeffery Kuper, Real Kakamora struggled as the game opened while their opponents enjoyed free flowing passes and long runs down the flanks. Even without their newly signed coach, Juliano Schmeling, on the bench Marist appeared threatening whenever they had the ball.
Dickson Maggi was especially energetic on the left wing with his pace and ability to win one on one situations. His first attempt at goal came early but it was his second, just after 30 minutes, that gave Marist the lead after a cross from Fredrick Dola found him free and legal behind the Real Kakamora offside trap.
Maggi’s goal was cancelled out by Davidson Tome’s effort and the scores were level as the sides went out for the halftime breather. Tome somehow found space in a tangle of attackers and defenders to score the equaliser against this Solympics teammate, Phillip Mango.
Marist returned for the kill in the second half and found the back of without reply three times. A penalty was awarded in the 57th minute and Tome was given his marching orders after clashing with Maggi inside his own penalty area. The kick was taken by Timothy Bakale who calmly slotted the ball past Roy Funu.
The lead was further extended by Keloby Benty who finished with a tap in after Bakale channelled him a pass within the Real Kakamora box.
As the match entered stoppage time, Marist struck again through substitute, Matthias Iani to complete the rout.
