KOSSA 1 – Malaita Kingz 2

The first half was a goalless affair with possession shared roughly equally between the sides, however, KOSSA looked slightly more threatening with their strong front pair of Harrison Mala and Moffat Deramoa.
Malaita Kingz had Allan Peter up front as the lone striker in a somewhat odd move and its effectiveness remains to be seen. Peter did not lack the enthusiasm but, used to playing defence, he seemed out of his depth on a number of occasions.
Joel Paga put Malaita Kingz in front after 55 minutes with a shot from distance but this was cancelled out by Moffat Deramoa after just two minutes with an equaliser from a counterattack. However, with 21minutes left to play Caroll Kakate sealed the victory for Malaita Kingz.
KOSSA pushed hard to salvage the game in the final stages but Malaita Kingz held on for their win.
