Real Kakamora 0 – West Honiara 0

The Joel Konofilia coached outfit had one of the post in the first half and several more close chances squandered in the second half forcing Real Kakamora into survival mode for most of the game with newly signed goalkeeper, Roy Funu, called for some heroic saves.
Midfielder George Ladoga saw his shot hit the post fifteen minutes into the first half and later was involved in an incident which saw the red carding of Real Kakamora defender, Augustine To’imae.
Real Kakamora started well but the momentum soon swung West Honiara’s way who were denied by Funu as well as lack of nerves in front of the opposition goal.
It was apparent that Real Kakamora were missing several of their former stars but it was the midfield that really broke down for the Makira Ulawa franchise. The absence of Jeffery Kuper from the lineup and Marx Ruku’s departure meant that Richard Mama had to all the work.
The second half witnessed more dominance from West Honiara but the goal they were hoping to get did not come and Real Kakamora escaped with some pride intact and a point for their troubles but it could have been worse for them.
