44 grand in prizes for U-20 championship

Our Telekom is meeting the cost for all the prizes for the championship including the $20 000-00 first prize which the winner will take home along with the championship trophy and 24 gold medals.
The second prize is $10000-00 while the third and fourth prizes are $6000-00 and $4000-00 respectively.
Special awards will go to the fair play team, the golden boot winner and the player of the tournament award from the championship and winners will take home trophies plus cash prizes.
At this stage all the teams are finalising their team lists and SIFF is reiterating the call that any player over the age limit or does not provide proof of age will not be allowed to participate.
“Player must provide the necessary document to prove that they qualify. SIFF will accept passports, birth certificates or a Statutory Declaration for this purpose,” Kennedy Magi from the SIFF competitions office said.
The draws for pooling of the teams will be conducted on Friday 12 November at the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) headquarters in Honiara during the technical meeting which will start at 3:00pm.
All head of delegations and team managers from the provincial teams are informed to attend the meeting and must bring with them their completed forms for the championship.
The opening ceremony for the Our Telekom National U-20 Championship is scheduled for this Saturday starting at 1:30pm.
The SIFF competitions department is calling on all teams to contact the SIFF headquarters for further information and to collect additional documentation for the championship.
