Koloale going for win

Aruafu’s statement underlines a feeling of resurgence and confidence the club now has after their fine performance against Lautoka in Fiji saw them run away with a 6 – 1 surprise victory and spark hopes for a turnaround in their O-League fortunes.
“The aim is to win this game and the next game. Thereafter we can rely on the results of the other pool matches between Lautoka & Amicale on Saturday and Hekari FC & Lautoka in March 2011,” Aruafu says.
Aruafu is also calling on the public of Honiara to turn up at Lawson Tama to support Koloale since they are flying no other flag but that of the country and football fans must be there to support them.
“We would like all Solomon Islanders living in Honiara to come out in full force behind Koloale FC at Lawson Tama this Saturday against the defending champions Hekari United FC,” Aruafu says.
Koloale has had a good run in the Telekom S-League with 3 wins coming from as many matches and coach Peter Eke is hoping that that will help them against Hekari United who are equally desperate points.
The Telekom S-League may just prove to be the magic pill for Koloale with punters putting their demise in the first half of the O-League season down to the competition or rather the lack of it in the local league in Honiara.
Koloale is now playing a markedly different football from last year and while they are maintain a 5–3–2 formation the transition into attacking and return to defending has worked a lot better as displayed in their local national league matches.
Their one-two passes are working wonders for them and their defensive set up is also more effective when dealing against threats posed by opposing forwards and this will be important against their opponents who featured Henry Fa’arodo and speedy forward Kema Jack in their line up in recent matches.
Eke has released the list of 19 players whom the club has put into camp but the final 16 for the match are yet to be named.
The players in Koloale’s squad for the Hekari United match are:
1. Shadrack Ramoni
2. Eddie Ramo
3. Samson Takayama
4. Francis Lafai
5. Leonard Olea
6. George Suri
7. Freddie Kini
8. Jeffery Bule
9. Steve Saru
10. Gabriel Eke
11. Augustine Samani
12. Steve Anisi

14. Lency Saeni
