OFC President visiting Solomon Islands

Chung’s visit is purposely to meet with the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) as well as government officials and local major partner of football Our Telekom.
According to SIFF President Martin Alufurai, Chung, will be discussing OFC’s new development initiatives including the OFC limited business concept with local stakeholders.
The OFC limited is a proposed commercial arm owned by all member associations to run the football business of OFC and create sustainable revenue for the regional football body in the long term.
Another important item on Chung’s agenda will be media rights especially for television broadcasting of OFC competitions including the OFC Futsal Championship which will be held later this year.
Alufurai says that SIFF is honoured to be among the first member associations to be visited by the new OFC president.
“I thank Chung for making the time to visit Solomon Islands. This is a soccer mad country and the (OFC) president’s visit recognises our contribution and status in the region,” Alufurai says.
Travelling with Chung is OFC General Secretary, Tai Nicholas.
