KOSSA 2 – Koloale 3

Koloale started strongly and within twelve minutes Atana Fa’arodo made KOSSA pay for sleeping in defence with opener of the match. Three minutes later, Fa’arodo, caught the defence off guard again and just like that Koloale were 2 nil in front.
KOSSA struggled to check the rhythm of Koloale’s game and reign in the pace but the ‘men in green’ were not easy to control and were unfortunate not to make it 3 nil before twenty minutes when Mostyn Sanga was flagged offside after Paul Wale had sent it into the back of the net.
Obed Ofea ignited some hope for KOSSA to get back in the game with a stunner of a goal just after half an hour but a Paul Wale penalty in first half stoppage time saw the game tilt further Koloale’s way with the 3-1 score line at the break.
KOSSA were out for the kill in the second half and when Coleman Makau headed home in the 65th minute, hopes were abound that they could either overtake Koloale and win the game or at the least force a share of points.
However, when the normally cool midfielder, Jimmy Raramane, was sent off for his second bookable offence, KOSSA’s efforts collapsed and Koloale dragged themselves over the finish line to claim a deserved win.
