Malaita schools pull away in Day 2

Gwaigeo Primary School is leading Group A with 9 points from 3 games. They have scored a total of 7 goals while not conceding any and look set to finish the pool stage as group leaders.
Kilusawkalo Primary School have 3 wins and 1 draw and they top the Group B table with 9 points ahead of St. John who have 5 points also from 4 matches. Like Gwaigeo, Kilusakwalo has not conceded any goals and their goals tally so far is.
The weather continued to be kind to the kids festival in Day 2 and all matches were able to be finished on schedule. Day 2 was a little bit hotter than Day 1 as the humidity crept in in the later stages of the day.
So far a total of 24 matches have been played and a total of 31 goals have been scored. This averages 1 goal per match and signaled the drop in the score lines after some big wins in the first day.
Both Kilusakwalo and Gwaigeo are expected to cement their positions in their respective pools in Day 3. For the other schools Day 3 will present the opportunity to fight to qualify for the second round.
