West Honiara 0 – Western United 4

The opening stanza of the match was equally played and West Honiara had an answer for every single attack mounted by Western United. Playing with five defenders helped their case at the back but the result was a weaker front line allowed Western United space to recover and bid their time.
Just to save Western United from embarrassment, Joses Nawo, scored just before half time to ensure his club had the lead going into the break.
Nawo struck again in the 57th minute to make it a two to nothing game with West Honiara rapidly running out of resolve as Western United brought on Gagame Feni and Abraham Iniga to strengthen their attack.
Iniga made it 3-0 with twenty minutes to spare after he was marked carelessly on the right and he drove into the West Honiara box before shooting past Rodney Teilo.
Nawo then completed his hat trick after a neat exchange of passes with Iniga in the box before he went for the far post.
