Koloale outclass Hana

Benjamin Totori’s presence on the field was a sure booster for Koloale as rumours were going around before the game that he was going to return to his old club, Solomon Warriors, where he started his career.
Hana struggled to match Koloale on paper and were clear underdogs going into the match but still they were able to put Koloale under pressure in the first 10 minutes and looked like they were going to score until the O-League side got its engines warmed up.
Koloale were put in front in the 13th minute by Ian Paia after he beat the last Hana defender to a through pass before firing past Jimmy Qwaina who came out too late to deny the young striker a shooting opportunity.
After Koloale’s goal they dominated the game and had several more chances to score but had to wait until the 26th minute before Paia again provided their second of the day from inside the 6 yard box.
Leading 2 – 0 going into the break Koloale looked like the more composed side but ample time was left for their opponents to come back into the game.
The second saw a much more organised Hana return and this time it was Koloale’s turn to be frustrated as they started to gain more control of the supply route through the midfield section.
Cornelly Rata did well for Hana on the right flanks and twice sent in crosses which should have been put away by his strikers.
Koloale found their rhythm again midway through the second half and they immediately made Hana pay scoring their third goal through midfielder Mostyn Beui who was at the right spot at the right time when the ball found him unmarked and with enough space to shoot home.
With 3 minutes left to play substitute Ezra Sale sealed off an impressive showing for Koloale pushing his side to 4 to 0 in front.
Hana did their best and may take solace from the fact that they denied Koloale another 4 scoring opportunities which will certainly count for something later in the league.
Koloale will gather great confidence from the game as they build towards their home match against Hekari United on February 26.
