Bonitos plan fundraising dinner

Bonitos team manager, William Lai, said in a statement that the national team is working with a very tight budget and more funds are needed to support the team in its preparations.
“My management is working hard to raise additional funds to ensure that the players in the national team are looked after well,” Lai says.
“This is our premier concern and the fundraising dinner is to help raise the money that will go towards that. Everyone understands that football is a team sport so the management costs are considerable compared to other sports.”
The event will be held at the Sea King Restaurant on Saturday 19th August, 2011 and invitations have been sent to business houses and government offices. Each table is sold for $10 000 and will seat 10 people. The Bonitos are hoping to raise $150 000 from the 20 tables that are on sale.
Lai called on business houses and individuals to come forward and support the team through the corporate dinner.
“Few other teams can claim to unite the spirit of Solomon Islands like its national football team and I wish to ask all the business houses to support us. It is our national team and they will be playing for the pride of this country at the Pacific Games,” Lai said.
Persons interested in purchasing a table can call William Lai on 74 96226 to make a booking.
