Hana 1 – Malaita Kingz 1

With 2 players suspended Malaita Kingz were not playing at full strength and the absence of Johnstee Kusilifu at left back was especially costly for them early in the match. It took Hana only 6 minutes to take the lead and it was Stanley Waita who provided with some clever positioning.
Hana looked to extend their advantage in the game but Malaita Kingz were shaken awake and kept them frustrated for the remainder of the game. At times, however, Malaita Kingz had the Hana forwards to thank for their fortune in the game as several opportunities to score were not taken.
With just a minute left before halftime Malaita Kingz levelled the scores with a strike from Henry Timewale. Timewale’s goal was all that Malaita Kingz needed to access the points vault for the game since no more goals were scored in the second half as both sides performance levelled off to a 1-1 finish.
Malaita Kingz’s 1 point gain puts them on level with Koloale in points but the defending league champions have more in the bank when it comes to goal difference.
