Malaita Kingz 1 – Solomon Warriors 1

It was not the Warriors’ best performance of the season but for Malaita Kingz it certainly was. Often throughout the match they appeared like the better side except for one area which they could not muster, finishing.
It was not surprising when Solomon Warriors took the lead but two elements of their goal did surprise however. First their goal came in the 40th minute and it was a penalty kick which Judd Molea tucked away with ease.
The second half started superbly for the minnows who levelled just four minutes after the restart. Dunstan Quanafia got on the end of a fantastic pass from Michael Misitana set him free just outside the Solomon Warriors penalty box and the speedy forward scored a memorable goal.
Solomon Warriors invested everything in protecting their winning streak but no result followed their efforts. Jerry Donga was close on several occasions but his finishes failed him. Gagame Feni who came on as a substitute forced Felix Ray Jnr. to make a good save when a loose clearance fell to him just outside Malaita Kingz 6-yard box.
The result does not matter much in terms of standings for Solomon Warriors who maintain a hefty lead despite the draw. Malaita Kingz are in third place behind Real Kakamora who are playing KOSSA on Sunday.
