Solomon Islands national team has been invited to replace New Zealand in an invitational tournament in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The tournament is a FIFA International A friendly tournament organized by the Malaysia Football Association.
Oman and Singapore are other two teams confirmed to participate in the two-day competition.
Julian Kam, a FIFA Match agent officially sent the invitation last week, “I am a licensed FIFA Match Agent and would like to extend our invitation to your National A Team for a 4-nation tournament which will be held during the FIFA dates in March in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.”
The tournament will be held from March 20-23 where the national side could play world’s 90th ranked Oman and 165th ranked Singapore.
Solomon Islands Football Federation is currently pending FIFA approval to participate in the competition.
Meanwhile, FIFA already approved two international matches for Solomon Islands to host Vanuatu at Lawson Tama on March 17 before playing Chinese Taipei on March 24 in Taipei.
