SIFF DECLARES SUPPORT FOR FIFA PRESIDENT GIANNI INFANTINO
The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) acknowledges the recent developments pertaining to international football governance and herein articulates its formal position on the matter.
SIFF welcomes the decision by FIFA President Gianni Infantino to withdraw the proposed FIFA Forward Enterprise undertaking and commends the timeliness and resoluteness of this action. We interpret this decision as a reflection of the current FIFA leadership’s continued commitment to fostering solidarity, mutual respect, and constructive engagement among Member Associations, Confederations, and all relevant stakeholders.
We endorse the President’s call for all Member Associations to operate within a framework of unity and shared purpose, in the collective interest of advancing football development globally. SIFF further affirms its respect for the established institutional frameworks and processes that underpin transparency, good governance, and sustainable progress across all levels of the sport.
We also recognize the significant strides made in football development over the past decade under President Infantino’s stewardship and its impact in football in the region and our member association. Accordingly, we express our continued confidence in his leadership and in the overarching vision of FIFA to strengthen football infrastructure, capacity, and opportunity worldwide.
