From: President, Executive and Management, Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF)
To: The Immediate Family of the Late Reuben Lawrence Oimae, and relatives in Kwara’ae (Malaita Province) and Ngella (Central Islands Province)
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of the late Reuben Lawrence Oimae – one of Solomon Islands’ most recognised and experienced football turf experts.
Reuben was not only a dedicated member of the SIFF family but also a highly respected figure across the Pacific and beyond. His professional footprint spanned Honiara, Malaita Province, Western Province, and internationally to Samoa, Papua New Guinea, and Australia. His expertise in football turf management was unmatched, and his work has left a lasting legacy on pitches where many of our players continue to train and compete.
He was a man with a passion for football, but also a kind, loving and generous person.
To his immediate family, and to his relatives in Kwara’ae, Malaita Province, and in Ngella, Central Islands Province, we share in your grief and stand with you during this difficult time.
Reuben will be remembered for his professionalism, his passion for the game, and his quiet dedication behind the scenes that made so much of our football possible.
May God grant you strength, comfort, and peace.
Rest in peace, Reuben Lawrence Oimae. Your contribution to football will never be forgotten.
Signed,
President, Executive and Management
Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF)
