Speaking to the media during a press conference at Tanoa Waterfront International Hotel in Lautoka this morning, Boni Pride said they are looking forward to give their best shot in all matches with great respect for their opponents.

“I respect all teams and we are confident of putting up a good performance,” the defender said.

Eels will play their first match Sunday 1pm (12noon Solomon Islands Time) against Central Sport at Churchill Park, followed by Lautoka FC on Wednesday 4pm (3pm Solomon Islands Time) and next Saturday 1pm (12noon Solomon Islands Time) will be the final match against FC Morobe Wawens.

“I have trust in my boys that we can do it.

“Our team spirit has been good and we are shaping up well.

“This is our first time at the regional stage and I believe that the boys will step up in their performance because our aim in this competition is to do well.”

The two teams emerging at the top of Group B after pool matches will progress into the quarterfinals, with the group winner having the advantage to host one of the four last-eight matches at home.
