Bilikiki Challenge rescheduled

Originally the tournament was supposed to kick off this weekend but due to the slowness of submissions from teams and the start of the Telekom S-League organisers felt that it was in the best interest of everyone for the event to be moved. The Bilikiki Challenge will now be held from 4 – 6 November. Registrations for the interested teams will remain open until Wednesday 26 October, 2011.
Coordinator of the Bilikiki Challenge, Gideon Omokirio, is calling on interested teams who have not collected the registration forms to do as soon as possible.
“It is best for teams to register early as there are only limited spaces available. It is a great opportunity for our youth to enjoy this sport and the Bilikiki Challenge promises much excitement for all players and teams,” Omokirio says.
So far several teams have indicated their interest but have not taken the step to register for the competitions. Registration forms may be picked up from the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) head office.
The good news that comes with the change of dates is that registration for the Bilikiki Beach Soccer School of Excellence is now open. The age group that is targeted is 8 – 12 years old and interested parents may collect registration forms from the SIFF office. The school of excellence program will be launched with the first edition of the Bilikiki Challenge tournament.
