Koloale 2 – Western United 2

Both sides came off draws in the previous round; Koloale a 1-all tussle with Real Kakamora and Western United a 2-2 even sharing of points with Malaita Kingz. A sizeable crowd turned out to witness the proceedings and while the match caught a spark it did not deliver the result fans of the opposing sides were hoping for.
The first half was a nil-all affair and all the action was reserved for the second half. Soon after the restart Himson Teleda put Western United in front eight minutes, teammate Michael Taeman added the second.
Koloale, however, were not put down by the score line and kept their focus resulting in midfielder Augustine Samani scoring in the 76th minute. Samani’s goal spurred the ‘men in green’ on and the equaliser came in stoppage time courtesy of Mostyn Beui who almost scored from a header in the first half.
Following the result Western United and Koloale sit third and fourth respectively on the table. Ahead of them are Solomon Warriors and Real Kakamora. Real Kakamora is the only side other Solomon Warriors to have won a match in the new Telekom S-League season so far.
The coming round of the Telekom S-League features Western United against Marist at 4:00pm on Saturday and Koloale taking on Malaita Kingz at 4:00pm on Sunday.
