Western United 1 – Real Kakamora 0

The only goal of the game came in the 52nd minute when Western United’s John Anita found the back of the net from 15 yards out on a counter attack after winning possession in their own half.
Real Kakamora were difficult opponents for Western United on the day and were unfortunate not to have gotten on the scoreboard with fine efforts coming from the likes of Brendan Rou in the opening minute and Rex Honu who terrorised their opponents for most of the match.
Western United had their best chance to extend their lead in the 62nd minute when Robert Tana broke past Cyril Muta to set up Hickley Rence but his shot was read and the ball rebounded into the field where Coleman Makau followed up with another shot but it did not find the mark.
The victory strengthens Western United’s position in the table but it is being closely chased by KOSSA and Solomon Warriors and may slip down depending on further results this weekend.
Real Kakamora have improved vastly but they are still yet to get their scoring boots on having already addressed a lot of their problems in the midfield and their defence which has received great help from the inclusion of Cyril Muta.
