Westpac donates gear to Bilikiki

The gear was presented to the members of the Bilikiki squad by Westpac General Manager, Kutila Pinto and Bank Manager Jeffery Pitamama at the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) academy complex. Items received included training shirts, caps and water bottles.
Coincidentally the Bilikiki head coach, Gideon Omokirio, is an employee of the Westpac Banking Corporation and he thanked them saying that this presentation contributes greatly to team morale.
“It is important for our efforts to be acknowledged and appreciated by our community and today we felt very much like we have the acknowledgement and appreciation of Westpac.”
“We thank the Westpac management for supporting the Bilikiki and we look forward to your friendship in the future,” Omokirio says.
“We are proud to be able to be part of the recent and future successes of Team Bilikiki through this presentation; as they represent Solomon Islands at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Tahiti,” said General Manager, Kutila Pinto.
Westpac is auctioning signed tee shirts of Team Bilikiki and invites potential bidders to bid by the 13th of September, 2013 for the same. All proceeds will go back to Team Bilikiki. Four tee shirts have the name Team Bilikiki printed on left side of the tee shirt with Westpac on right side and upper back and will be framed. Bidders can call Westpac and dial 2 to register their bid.
The Bilikiki will travel through Vanuatu and New Caledonia before arriving in Tahiti early on Thursday (local time). They will spend a week in training in Tahiti before the world cup kicks off mid next week. The Bilikiki’s first match at the world cup is against the Netherlands on Thursday 19th September. Their other pool matches are against Argentina and El Salvador on 21st and 23rd of September respectively.
