Solomon Islands international striker Benjamin Totori is ready to add to his tally of 41 OFC Champions League appearances with Fiji club Lautoka who enter this year’s competition in Group C alongside the defending champions Auckland City FC.
The veteran striker has already made his debut in the Fiji Premier League, in which they beat Rewa 2-0, and he’s keen to have an influence on the side’s regional campaign.
“Lautoka is my third club in Fiji and I’m looking forward to play in the Champions League,” he said.
“It has been a long while since I have come to play for a Fijian club and I am ready.”
Totori had earlier played for Nasinu and Labasa before moving back to the Solomon Islands and has also played for Waitakere United, YoungHeart Manawatu and Western United in the OFC Champions League.
In addition to equaling former teammate Allan Pearce, the 31-year-old is just nine shy of James Pritchett’s all-time record of 50 OFC Champions League appearances, and shows no signs of slowing down.
