Tome Kiki has retained his position as the president for the Central Islands Football Association (CIFA) after he was unopposed in an elective congress held in Honiara on Friday 31st January 2020.
Nine of the ten-member associations of CIFA were in attendance at the electoral congress which meets the quorum to proceed with the election.
Chair of the congress, CIFA General Secretary, Fred Sanakitai declared Kiki as the winner since he was unopposed.
Kiki called on CIFA football leaders for their cooperation as they continue to develop football in the Central Islands for the next four years.
“Nothing much to say but I want to call on our leaders in Central Islands to work closely with my executive to improve football in our islands,” he said.
“We have achieved many positive outcomes in our last term and I would like everyone to put our hands together to improve football in our province.
“Thank you for putting your trust in my leadership as your president.”
Steven Viri was elected as the new CIFA vice president alongside Fred Sanakitai who remains as the General Secretary.
