Hana 4 – Real Kakamora 0

Real Kakamora may have been hoping for their first 3 points but Hana’s combinations were simply too good for them on the day employing an open and free flowing game.
Hana go forward early in search for the opening goal and almost get there when George Afia picks up a free ball inside the Real Kakamora 6-yard box in the fifth minute but his shot goes way over the cross bar. Jeffery Henry tries another shot from the edge of the 18-yard box after Afia’s attempt but the Real Kakamora defenders block the ball away.
Hana’s hard work in their opponent’s area pays off when a mistake by Charles Taniro costs them a goal in the 14th minute. Taniro failed to control a loose ball outside the penalty box and Gabriel Kavere is able to send the ball into the back of the net with the help of a deflection from a Real Kakamora defender.
A quite spell for both sides ensues as Real Kakamora comes back into the game and stalls Hana’s control of the midfield area. Real Kakamora now have more possession on the lines but they are not able to make good crosses.
A rude punctuation for Real Kakamora comes about in the 33rd minute when Afia capitalises on another loose ball to hammer home Hana’s second goal. Protests from the Real Kakamora players followed but referee, Hamilton Siau, is unmoved.
The Real Kakamora spirit refuses to be dampened by their double demise and they chase an opportunity to score right from the restart. Kluivert Dagi makes good progress on the left and he beats Remarx Kwaria before shooting for the far post but the ball goes wide off the mark.
The first half ends with Hana leading 2 – 0 and Real Kakamora are given the tough task of coming back into the game in the second half. Defending the lead will also require Hana to maintain their concentration for the remaining 45 minutes.
The second starts miserably for Real Kakamora as they saw Hana extend their lead to 3 nil. Godwin Fugui gets on the end of a well timed through ball and takes his time before slotting the ball past Lawrence Mafane.
Matters threaten to go further south for Real Kakamora when the unmarked Kwaria gets a free pass on the right and shoots for goal only to see the cross bar deny him. Substitute Cornelly Rata shoots from a similar position moments later and is also denied by the cross bar.
Cyril Muta and Ian Ngahugari go close for Real Kakamora in the 66th and 79th respectively but fewer chances are available to them as whole compared to their opponents. Their final passes up front are not working against the confident Hana back line.
Joe Manu extends Hana’s lead to 4 – 0 with 2 minutes left on the clock for an unassailable lead for his side. Real Kakamora are being given little of the ball at this stage of the game as Hana pry every possibility for more goals.
The final drive from Real Kakamora fails to provide them a consolation goal for the match and the referee’s whistle ends whatever hopes they had of registering on the scoreboard.
The result brings Hana’s league haul to 15 points but their superior goal difference brings above Malaita Kingz who also have totalled 15 points. Hana’s final match is against Koloale this Wednesday.
