X-Beam are youth champions

The accolades, however, do not stop there for X-Beam as they also scooped up two of the special awards from the competition. The Our Telekom Golden Ball Award went to their captain, Junior Hou, for a powerfully consistent performance in the midfield. The Our Telekom Golden Boot Award went to Larry Zama for his haul of 8 goals this season.
The victory comes bittersweet for X-Beam who are struggling in the senior edition of the Telekom S-League where they are at bottom with only two points from a winless season. So to register a victory for the youth team is a major boost for them.
Sorbie Valentine, manager for X-Beam, was a satisfied man after the presentation saying that it was all down to hard work and commitment from the players.
“I am proud of the boys; they totally deserve to enjoy this because they have worked really hard throughout the season. They are always enthusiastic to train and to play so I thank them and congratulate them for this achievement,” says Valentine.
“Our senior boys are not doing so well but with this result we can see brighter future ahead.”
Second place in the league when to Real Kakamora who finished, five points behind the champions. Real Kakamora were awarded 30 silver medals and SBD$15 000.00 prize money.
The third place went to Western United who won SBD $10 000.00 and 30 bronze medals. The fourth place award went to Marist with a SBD $6000.00.
All prizes in the Telekom S-League Youth Division were sponsored Our Telekom.
