Bilikiki receive help from Solomon Airlines

The donation was handed over to the team members during one of their training sessions at DC Park by Solomon Airlines Marketing Manager, Vivian Wickham.
Speaking at the handover Wickham said that the donation highlights the partnership between Solomon Airlines and football.
“Solomon Airlines is one of the 3 major partners of SIFF and in this instance we are happy once again to show our support to the national beach soccer team. As a corporate citizen Solomon Airlines looks forward to supporting our national teams in this manner,” Wickham said.
Bilikiki team manager, Reuben Oimae, thanked Solomon Airlines for the assistance and said that the team members will proudly wear the colours of the national air carrier during training and when travelling to the championship.
“A big thank you goes to Solomon Airlines for this show of support, we truly appreciate their assistance,” Oimae says.
The handover had extra meaning especially with Wickham doing it since he was a former coach and player of the Bilikiki team and had represented the Solomon Islands in 7 internationals including 3 in the 2006 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup held in Brazil and is recognised as one of the pioneers of beach soccer in the country alongside Eddie Omokirio.
Bilikiki is scheduled to leave the country for Tahiti on Friday 18 February.
