The Solomon Islands women’s national team started their training for the 2023 Pacific Games at Lawson Tama on Monday 22nd February 2021 under the watchful eyes of former internationals Batram Suri and Stanley Waita.

More than 30 of the 47 players drafted into the training squad turn up for the first session and the rest are expected to join the team later for the weeklong training program.
The two coaches are guiding the team on an interim basis while waiting for a foreign female coaches to take the helm of the senior women’s team.
SIFF has set an objective to win a medal on home soil and the journey starts now.
