The Solrais Women’s Premier League board has agreed on the expansion of the elite women’s football league this year to meet FIFA regulations for a Member Association to at least have ten (10) teams in its senior club competition.
Total of eight (8) teams participated in the inaugural Solrais Women’s Premier League last year and the SWPL board is calling on interested clubs to apply for available spaces for the new season.
Antoinette Miniti, SIFF Women’s Development Officer said the league was a success last year and she urged others to join the excitement.
“Any clubs wishing to participate in this year’s Women Premier League please call into the SIFF Office and see the competition department and the women’s department,” she said.
“Registration forms and additional information regarding the League can be collected from the new SIFF office at Art Gallery compound”.
The new SWPL Season has been proposed to start on Saturday 27 March 2021.
