Defending champions Solomon Warriors are aiming to regain their top spot in the Telekom S-League (TSL) standings after a crucial mid-week victory against SOSA FC, which ended 3-1 in their favor.
Head Coach Franco Ne’e emphasized the importance of refocusing on their domestic title defense following their OFC Champions League campaign.
Ne’e expressed his satisfaction with the team’s quick recovery and preparation, attributing their success against SOSA FC to the players’ hard work and determination.
He stated, “We had only a day to get prepared and back into action – and picking up that win against SOSA FC is very important for us. It’s a win and I have to give all credit back to the boys for the effort.”
The victory has placed Solomon Warriors in the second position in the league standings, with a game in hand.
Ne’e highlighted the significance of maintaining their winning momentum, focusing on both offensive and defensive improvements.
“Now we have to recover and back to the drawing board to patch up our errors and mistakes – our finishing third and defense and look forward to our next match this weekend,” he added.
Solomon Warriors are set to face FC Juniper Tree on Saturday, June 1, at 11:00 am at the Lawson Tama stadium.
A win in Match Week 7 could see them reclaim the top spot in the league, while current leaders Real Kakamora FC face a challenging match against Central Coast FC on Sunday.
