Warriors, Eels qualify for OFC Champions League 2020

Solomon Warriors overcome a determined Laugu United on final match day of S-League in 2019 at Lawson Tama to go three points clear at the top and secure a spot in next year’s OFC Champions League.

Vanuatu international midfielder John Alick scored in the first minute of the encounter to earn maximum points for the defending champions.

Laugu had some good opportunities to score but an experience Warriors defense kept them at bay.

Warriors now have 38 points and a game in hand against FC Guadalcanal when the league resumes next year.

Title challenger Henderson Eels have 35 points and all but secured a spot in next year’s O-League.

Eels will play Real Kakamora in their final league match.
