The role of the Talent Development Scheme (TDS) and Education Centre (EC) Manager is a leadership position within the technical department, overseeing a critical aspect of football development involving talent development and football education. In this role, the TDS & EC Manager shall act as the administrator for the TDS programme as well as the SIFF Education Centre ensuring that both programmes are well managed and successfully implement. The TDS & EC Manager reports to the SIFF Technical Director.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Organizing all logistical arrangements for TDS programs and the Education Centre and work with the Development Officers to ensure smooth organisation courses and other activities
- Prepare and communicate the annual budget for the Technical Director in consultation with the Academy Manager and Academy Coach
- Prepare and manage the annual calendar of activities and operational plan
- Organise the procurement of resources including sourcing food, sporting equipment, housing, educational needs for the national academy, and, organizing venues for courses, accommodation for coaching course participants.
- Ensure all disbursements are properly recorded and compliant with FIFA, OFC and SIFF regulations and ensure full reporting of such funds
- On behalf of SIFF, be the main point of contact with FIFA and OFC on new offers, application due dates and providing reports to all, in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the Technical Director, National Academy Manager and additional support staff across the technical department to ensure the success of SIFF programs.
- Manage all operational staff in the programme
- Any other duties and tasks required by the Technical Director that are generally within the scope of the TDS Programme and Education Centre.
Reporting Responsibilities:
- Providing monthly reports to the Technical Director and to the National Academy Manager consultant as required
- Preparing the annual report of the TDS programme
Compliance Responsibilities:
- Completing FIFA and OFC mandated child protection and safeguarding training
- Ensuring that all players welfare and care action plans are in place
- Ensuring all expenditure by the SIFF TDS programme is executed in accordance with the requirements of the FIFA, OFC and SIFF regulations and policies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional human relations skills
- Good communication skills
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft productivity software
- Good organisational skills
Qualifications:
- Minimum degree in sports education or related field from a recognised tertiary institution
- Successfully pass the FIFA Guidance Training within 2 weeks of employment
- At least 4-years’ experience working in a similar field or in a similar organisation as SIFF
