Our social responsibility department invites applications from qualified and interested individuals for the position of Just Play National Coordinator. Reporting to the Just Play Country Manager and will oversee the implementation of the Just Play programme in the country.

Purpose of the Role | The National Coordinator role has been put in place to assist the Programme Manager in facilitating and managing the delivery of Just Play activities. The National Coordinator will liaise with Just Play Coordinators/Development Officers, assuring transparency and quality of activities, supervise and train Instructors, Just Play/Social Responsibility, and Member Association staff, teachers, and community volunteers. The National Coordinator will manage and track expenditures, conduct and coordinate monitoring activities, coordinate the collection of programme results, facilitate the coordination and delivery of festivals and other events, complete reports, promote Just Play/Social Responsibility, and develop and maintain relevant programme partnerships. The National Coordinator will work as part of the Solomon Islands Football Federation Social Responsibility/Just Play team and will report directly to the Programme Manager. As part of the National Coordinator’s role, the appointed individual will interact with Just Play Programme staff, various departments, and individuals within the SIFF volunteers, teachers, coaches, and programme partners. |
Roles and Responsibilities | |
Programme Management and Coordination | Assist the Programme Manager to manage the Just Play/Social Responsibility team. Support the Programme Manager to facilitate and coordinate the effective delivery of Just Play/Social Responsibility. activities Support the adaptation and development of Just Play/Social Responsibility Programming content to meet local context and needs. Conduct and complete programme scoping visits and facilitate meetings with schools and communities. Support the development of programme plans and budgets. Facilitate the coordination and delivery of festivals and other events with the support of Coordinators/Development Officers. Promote the programme and develop and maintain relevant partnerships. Liaise with the Technical Department to align and coordinate activities. Assist the Programme Manager with the management of finances across programming teams. |
Delivery of Just Play training courses | Facilitate the delivery of national and regional Just Play and Social Responsibility training courses. Supervise and oversee national-level Just Play Instructors in partnership with the Programme Manager. Facilitate the development of training components and resources, aligned to local context and target audience. Coordinate training activities with the Programme Manager and Technical Department to ensure activities are aligned with all other activities being delivered as part of the SIFF |
Reporting | Manage and coordinate the delivery of all course training reports, festival reports, and all other reports required following the delivery of activities. Facilitate the completion of management reporting requirements – weekly, monthly, and annually. Assist with the preparation of information ahead of partner and stakeholder meetings. |
Monitoring and evaluation | Conduct regular monitoring visits. Support Coordinators/Development Officers to complete monitoring activities. Facilitate the completion of monitoring activities as required: Delivery of pre- and post-questionnaires; conduct interviews with teachers, community volunteers, and partners; facilitate the collection of stories of change, etc. Liaise with Coordinators/Development Officers to verify data collected. Compile and summarize data results and support the production of impact data required for reporting. |
Provide the Programme Manager, SIFF, and OFC Social Responsibility with regular updates. | |
Additional Tasks | Support preparations and logistics for training, festivals, meetings, and other activities. Support other departments at the SIFF with the delivery of activities as required upon availability and with prior approval of the Programme Manager—other duties and tasks as needed. |
Qualifications | |
The Just Play Master Instructor should have the following qualifications | Bachelor’s Degree in Management (or professional experience with at least 1 year in a project management position).Knowledge of community-based development work, including programme development, management experience, and monitoring and evaluation skills.Highly proficient in English in report writing and presentations.Experience with budgeting, project development, proposal and report writing, and grants management.Experience facilitating training, workshops, and courses.Significant leadership experience in project management, programme administration, and financial management.Excellent interpersonal, entrepreneurial, and oral and written communication skills.Ability to work with people at all levels, from high-level officials to community leaders.Deep knowledge of and dedication to Just Play’s work in Solomon Islands.No criminal record. |
