The Telekom S-League (TSL) 2023 Season round one kick-off date has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 30th at the Lawson Tama stadium.
TSL Competition Manager Ashley Vidmar explained that this was due to the upcoming two-leg International Friendly series between Papua New Guinea’s Hekari United and TSL Champions Solomon Warriors.
“Round one initial fixtures for Saturday 29th remains, however, rearranged for midweek, Wednesday 3rd May. The minor changes were due to the international club friendlies between Solomon Warriors and Hekari United,” Vidmar explains.
Matches scheduled to start this year’s season will see Real Kakamora taking on newcomers SOSA FC at lunchtime, Juniper FC going head-to-head with Henderson Eels, and Laugu FC up against Central Coast FC.
Round one matches are set to continue next week.
Champions Solomon Warriors will take on Southern United, Marist FC to play Honiara City FC, and KOSSA FC against Waneagu United to wrap up round one of competition.
“Our department looks forward to another season of exciting football action and continues developing the elite level of club football in the country,” Vidmar said.
