TSL matchweek 7 roundup

Over the weekend the Telekom S League 2020 goes into week seven of its round one as we continue to see very competitive matches battling for the top spot on the table in the Telekom S League 2020.

Week seven of round one over the weekend have seen four entertaining matches played at Lawson Tama stadium, on Saturday 19th September 2020 at 2pm match between KOSSA FC and Real Kakamora FC and at 4pm match between Henderson Eels FC and Marist FC.

In the 2pm match, four minutes into the first half Real Kakamora FC Chris Hatarau scored the opening goal to put Real Kakamora FC up front.

Thus towards the end of first half KOSSA FC forward Barry Limoko level the score at one all after a penalty was awarded to him.

Teams fought very hard but 83’ minutes into the second half, Harrison Mala denied the draw with Real Kakamora FC as he scored the match-winning goal for KOSSA FC. Full time KOSSA FC edge past Real Kakamora FC in a 2-1 win.

In the main match on Saturday 4pm was between the table leaders Henderson Eels FC and the young Marist FC side. The young Marist FC side gives a very tough fight against the Henderson Eels with few chances but could not finish it well.

However Henderson Eels FC young star Raphael Le’ai found his way past Marist FC defense line to registered their opening goal to put Henderson Eels FC ahead and a later goal by Augustine Waita allows Henderson Eels to keep their spot and remain on top of the table.

Full time Henderson Eels overcomes the determined Marist FC side by 2-0. On Sunday 20th September 2020 at 2pm the current champions Solomon Warriors FC takes FC Isabel united, was a very tough and entertaining match as both teams puts on a strong effort to register an opening goal.

However a header from Solomon Warriors FC Dennis Ifunaoa scored in the 53’ minutes of the second half, which allows Solomon Warriors FC to won against FC Isabel United by 1-0 at full time.

The win for Solomon Warriors means they’re now on second spot with 13 points and 5 points behind the table leader Henderson Eels who are currently leading with 18 points.

For the 4pm match on Sunday, Laugu United moved up to third spot equal 13 points with Solomon Warriors FC after defeating Honiara City FC 3-1. Laugu united FC goals comes from a brace from Jeffery Bule and Gagame Feni.

The Telekom S League week (7) seven of round one continues this week on Wednesday 23rd September 2020 at 4pm between Central Coast FC and Southern united FC in the midweek clash.
