Transfer window opens on 26 October

A mid-season transfer window will open on Monday 26 October after the end of round 1 of the country’s premier club competition to give clubs a registration period to sign new players ahead of the second round of the Telekom S-League 2020/2021 season.

The transfer window will open for two weeks and closes on Saturday 7 November 2020 when the second round of the Telekom S-League starts.

SIFF has sort approval from FIFA for another registration period consistent with (i) the guidelines and decisions regarding COVID-19 approved by the Bureau of the Council on 6 April 2020 and (ii) FIFA circular no. 1720 and FIFA Football Regulatory department confirmed that SIFF request to amend its registration period(s) has been granted.

Teams home and abroad can use this transfer window to sign players from the Solomon Islands.

Meanwhile, SIFF Competition Manager, Tafoa Siosi Junior has called on all TSL club managers to attend a very important meeting today (Tuesday 13 October 2020) at SIFF Headquarter to discuss regulations relating to the transfer window.

The TSL board will also meet soon to approve regulations regarding the mid-season registration period.

However, SIFF executive had a meeting last week on Friday 9 October 2020 and approved certain regulations relating to the transfer window which will be presented to the TSL board.
