The 2020 Telekom S-League finally gets underway after a brief delay due to the COVID-19 as four thrilling matches took place on Saturday 8th – Sunday 9th August at Lawson Tama Staduim.

In the match of the day, last season’s runners-up Henderson Eels thrashed FC Isabel United 5-1 courtesy of a brace from youngster Raphael Lea’i, a brilliant free-kick from Timothy Bakale, Robert Laua scored his debut goal and captain Boni Pride led by example to round up the win.
On Sunday, newcomers Central Coast upset Malaita Kingz in a close affair as 20-year-old Juniro Fordney’s goal was the difference between the two sides.
Later in the day Laugu United sends a warning to the rest of the team with a convincing 5-0 win over Real Kakamora FC.
New signing Gageme Feni scored a double in his full debut alongside another brace from Mathais Iani and an own goal by Jochaim Rande.
