SIFF Technical Department delivered equipment to Henderson Eels SkulFut Football Development Centre yesterday at Kukum field in Honiara.
Technical Director, Moses Toata said the assistance is part of SIFF’s support to development centres under its elite programme.
“The Assistance is part of SIFFs support to Development Centre Establishments the country,” he said.
Last year SIFF has identified 3 centres who will receive assistance through the OFC Development Pack Programme targeting grassroots and youth football development.
“This is a club based programme which receives support from OFC and each year club based academies will receive equipment to support the expansion of their development programmes,” Toata added.
“The 3 clubs that have been chosen are Henderson, Eels, Marist FC and Solomon Warriors FC”.
Toata stressed similar assistance and partnership is open to other clubs in the country.
“These clubs have already started their grassroots development last year. Other clubs who like to join the programme should start their programmes and SIFF support in terms of equipment and training for their development centre coaches,” he stressed.
