The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) invites applications from qualified and motivated individuals for the position of SGO. Reporting to the SIFF TDS Manager and Technical Director, the position will play a major role in overseeing the welfare, health, safety and academic and football progress of the academy players.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Assisting the TDS Manager and TDS Coach with the annual football programmes of the TDS programme
- Monitoring the welfare and health of the players
- Monitoring the academic progress of the players
- Implementing and monitoring safety and care plans for the TDS programme
- Responding to crisis situations and taking appropriate actions to ensure safety all concerned
- Keeping a record of the activities of the TDS programme throughout the year
Reporting Responsibilities:
- Providing monthly reports to the TDS manager and Technical Director
- Assisting the TDS Manager with the annual report of the TDS programme
Compliance Responsibilities:
- Completing FIFA and OFC mandated child protection and safeguarding training
- Developing and maintaining player care and safety plan in accordance with FIFA and OFC guidelines
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional human relations skills
- Good communication skills
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft productivity software
- Good organisational skills
- Previous experience in teaching sector
Qualifications:
- Minimum degree or diploma in social work training or teaching from a recognised tertiary institution
- Successfully pass the FIFA Guidance Training within 2 weeks of employment
- At least 3 years experience working in a similar field or as an educator
