SIFF New home Groundbreaking

A Ground Breaking Ceremony was held this morning at King George for the construction of the SIFF Football Academy project funded by Papua New Guinea, Japan and the Solomon Islands government as part of the Pacific Games 2023 Sports precinct and home of Solomon football.

▪️ Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare have the honour to commission the groundbreaking ceremony and said the project is a national treasure and another step towards unifying our people through sports

▪️ SIFF President William Lai said the project is a cooperation between the football governing body, government and other stakeholders for the betterment of football in the country for future generations

▪️ The SIFF Football Academy cost $73 million dollars and will be constructed by the joint venture of JED Enterprise (SI) Ltd and JQY

▪️ The SIFF Football academy project consists of an office building, two football pitches, an outdoor futsal court, and a beach soccer pitch

▪️ The project is expected to be completed by next year
