The Solomon Islands Football Federation’s (SIFF) Just Play program recently took part in a Team Up capacity-building workshop, which is part of the Australian Government’s initiative consisting of six development programs in the country.
The workshop took place at the Solomon Islands National Institute of Sport (SINIS).
The objective of the week-long workshop was to equip the programs with the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare them for program delivery.
Just Play South East Vella La Vella Coordinator Lubert Paebara, expressed his gratitude for the training, as it has equipped him with the knowledge to deliver and run activities across communities and schools that aim to help children grow, learn, and explore through football with a ball, a coach, and a safe place to play.

“These have given me new ideas and concepts when delivering the programs with more impact,” says Paebara.
SIFF Just Play Country Coordinator Gabriel Riotarau also shared the same sentiments.
“Indeed, a week of in-depth knowledge on two thematic key areas, Gender and Disability which Just Play new content rollout will cover.
The workshop has been focused on building the capacity of staff within these programs to effectively monitor, capture, and showcase the stories of impact that their work will produce.
