A signing ceremony was held today at the National Hosting Authority (NHA) office between the Solomon Islands Government and a joint venture between JED Enterprise and JQY for the construction of the SIFF Football Academy project at King George.
Signing the contract is the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance & Treasury Mckinnie Dentana, JED director David Long and JQY manager Yang Jian Qing.

The project is funded by Papua New Guinea, Japan with support from the Solomon Islands government. Papua New Guinea funded $40 million for the project while Japan co-financing to fund the ground and civil works at the PG2023 – SIFF Football Academy with an allocation of $30 million.
The SIFF Football academy project consists of an office building, two football pitches, an outdoor futsal court and a beach soccer pitch.
