SIFF dresses 12 TSL clubs

SIFF handover 300 pieces of uniforms to each the 12 Telekom S-League franchise clubs in a brief ceremony at the Art gallery conference room as a means of supporting the clubs with a full set of uniform.

This is first of its kind and an initiative from the SIFF president William Lai and his executive to ease the financial burden of TSL clubs in meeting playing kits for their senior, women, and youth teams.

Speaking on behalf of the SIFF executive, SIFF vice president, Marlon Houkawara said the uniform support is a way of giving back to the clubs for their contribution towards football development in the country and being a member of the SIFF Congress.

“I think we all realised that TSL teams are members of the SIFF Congress, and you have the same membership just the 10 PFAs. So, the point I’m trying to say here is TSL clubs have a say in the operation of SIFF as an organisation. You have a lot of contribution in the way operates especially in the strategic plan through our votes and participation in congress,” he said.

“Therefore, it is important that SIFF must support its members, so just as much as SIFF providing grants, funding assistance to the PFAs as members, SIFF also continue to support TSL clubs. So, this set of uniform is one of the supports that SIFF present to TSL clubs.”

Houkawara added that TSL clubs contributed towards SIFF strategic plan through the technical aspect of youth development.

SIFF CEO, Leonard Paia in his brief remarks stated that the assistance from SIFF will elevate financial burden for clubs to meet uniform costs.

Upon signing with SIFF, each club received 300 pieces of uniform worth more than $100,000SBD.

The uniforms are manufactured by Hong Kong based brand SUNAIS.
