The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) has congratulated the Central Islands Football Association (CIFA) for successfully hosting its elective congress and closing in the new executive members’ election.
The Congress saw robust representation from all seven zones within the Association, marking a strong step forward in the governance and development of football in the Central Islands Province.
SIFF President Donald Marahare commended the smooth conduct of the elections and applauded the unity demonstrated by the football communities across the Province and the desire to see football in the Province elevated to new heights.
The Federation acknowledged the efforts of the Premier and his Executive, who played an instrumental role in facilitating the venue and providing accommodation for the Congress delegates.
The Premier’s commitment and logistical support resulted in the successful hosting of the Elective Congress.
The newly elected CIFA executive is as follows:
– President – Elizer Talama
– Vice President: Derick Saesi
– General Secretary: Justine Vasuni
– Executive Members:
– Patteson Harry
– Frazer Maebule
– Samuel Oke
– Merriam Mudano (Women Football representative)
SIFF President Marahare, who also officiated over the Elections, expressed his appreciation to both the outgoing and the new CIFA leadership together with the broader football community in Central Islands Province for their on-going dedication to the sport.
“I pledge my Executive’s commitment to working closely with the CIFA Executive in promoting football development across the Province,” Mr. Marahare stated.
The successful outcome of the Congress reflects the unity and shared vision within the region, paving the way for stronger football development initiatives and collaboration between SIFF and CIFA.
