Season greetings, Merry Christmas

2019 is a challenging and remarkable year for the Solomon Islands Football Federation. It is a year packed with football actions for the Solomon Islands on the world stage.

The Federation wishes to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your contributions to football development in our country in 2019.

A special thank you to all our sponsors, Our Telekom Company, Solomon Islands Ports Authority, Solomon Airlines, Ministry of Home Affairs, National Hosting Authority, Bulk Shop, DJ Graphics, Dural Sports Centre, Solomon Islands Sports Coalition (SISC), other private business houses and individuals who have gone out in full force to support our various national teams.

We cannot thank you enough but thank you so much for all the support and we look forward to our continued working together in the new year 2020 and beyond as we continue our journey in developing and growing our football to be able to excel at the highest level of football at the World stage.

To our member associations, SIFF Executive Members, TSL Board members, TSL clubs, national and club coaches, Referees, club administrators, physiotherapists, team doctors, team managers, media and school sport-masters, a special thank you also to you for your contributions to football development in 2019.

We acknowledge that it has been a very difficult year for all of us but we thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation shown throughout these difficult times.

We acknowledged that it is this collective support, hard work, sacrifices, and teamwork with the strong national pride behind our national teams that have enabled us to retain the OFC Futsal Nations Cup title in New Caledonia and a ticket to the 2020 Futsal World Cup in Lithuania making a historical FIFA U-17 World Cup appearance in Brazil by our national U-17 team, Solomon Bilikiki finishing second at the OFC Beach Soccer Nations Cup and displaying a very competitive appearance at the World Beach Games in Doha and a second-place placing for the Solympics, National U-23s at the OFC Olympic Qualifiers in Fiji.  These are all achievements that were made despite the challenges that we all face in 2019.

It only shows the potential that we have and how much more we are able to deliver with the expected results if we learn from our shortcomings and improve on the areas that matter most as we continue with our national football journey into 2020 and beyond.

We look forward to having you join us in 2020 for the next 12 months of football festivities.

Everybody at SIFF wishes you a blessed and happy festive season!
