The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified/experienced individuals for the coordination of the SIFF Referees for the 2026 football season. Interested persons are invited to submit their applications:
Job Overview:
The Referee League Coordinator is responsible for the operational management, scheduling, and administration of all referees and assistant referees across SIFF-sanctioned leagues. This role acts as the critical link between the Referee Department and the Competitions Department, ensuring that all domestic matches are staffed with qualified, fit, and prepared officials.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling & Logistics: Develop and maintain the master referee appointment schedule for all national leagues (S-League, Women’s Premier League, Futsal League, Youth Leagues, etc.), ensuring all matches are covered by certified officials.
Match Day Administration: Coordinate referee arrivals, transport, accommodation, and match fees in collaboration with clubs and the Competitions Department.
Performance Monitoring: Track referee attendance, punctuality, and on-field performance; maintain disciplinary records and report any misconduct to the Referee Development Officer.
Inventory Management: Manage the inventory and distribution of referee kits, flags, whistles, and communication equipment.
Data Management: Maintain the central database of active referees, including fitness test results, medical clearances, and certification status.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for club administrators regarding referee appointments and logistical queries.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Diploma in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in sports administration, event coordination, or refereeing administration. Prior experience as a match official or familiarity with FIFA referee protocols is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and database management.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and on weekends (match days).
- Valid driver’s license.
