OFC Technical Delegation visited SIFF Headquarters to discuss football development

OFC Technical Team, led by Chief of Football Patrick Jacquemet, was here in Honiara last week for a strategic two-day visit focused on advancing football programs in the Solomon Islands and the region.

Jacquemet was joined by High-Performance Specialist Owain Prosser and Clubs/Leagues Competition Manager Steven Dillon, marking a concerted effort to strengthen collaboration with key football stakeholders.

The OFC team engaged with the SIFF Technical Director Moses Toata, Chief Executive Officer Leonard Paia, and President Donald Marahare.

They briefly explored ways OFC could enhance technical programs, high-performance strategies, and league development to elevate football standards in the Solomon Islands.

The delegation also toured the SIFF Headquarters and Technical Centre, where they will engage with local staff and review facilities.

Discussions were also touched on preparations for the 2026 Oceania Pro-League, underscoring OFC’s commitment to establishing a robust competition framework that will benefit the entire region.

The visit is expected to lay the groundwork for sustainable football development, reaffirming OFC’s commitment to nurturing talent and expanding the sport’s reach across Oceania.
