A spot in the OFC Champions League finals competition is on the line for Central Coast FC and Solomon Warriors as the top two teams from the Telekom S-League have all to play for tomorrow in the second leg of the National Playoffs.
A close contested affair in the first leg saw both teams clocked at 1-1 courtesy of a first-half stunner by Vanuatu international and a well-deserved equalizer by Central Coast from speedy forward Junior Fordney.
The stakes are high for both teams in game two as both teams need a win to progress into the OFC Champions League finals as the away goal rule is not applied to the National play-offs.
Solomon Warriors will be banking on experience while Central Coast FC has an array of young lads in their ranks.
TSL champions Central Coast FC coach Jocab Moli said his youthful side has a game plan to challenge the Warriors in the crucial second leg.
Moli stressed that Solomon Warriors have all the experience to compete in big games but he urged his boys to regroup and compete in the second game.
His opposite number, Solomon Warriors coach Franco Ne’e believes that his boys need to improve on their first-leg performance in order to get a positive result against a well-coached Central Coast FC
