The Solomon Islands national women’s team settled down in Apia, Samoa ahead of their opener at the OFC Women’s Olympic Football tournament against Papua New Guinea on Wednesday 7 February.
The team will head on with proper training tomorrow Sunday 5 February, hoping for improved weather to get to business before Wednesday’s 13:00 (SI Time) kick-off at the FFS Football Stadium, Field 2.
“We have been experiencing bad weather here in Apia since our arrival, but the team has settled down well and looks forward to our crucial match,” Head Coach Batram Suri relayed from Samoa.
Solomon Islands will play PNG, American Samoa, and Fiji in Group A.
