The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) Women’s Development Department has announced a training squad for the Solomon Islands National U15 Girls, in preparation for the OFC U15 Development Tournament that will take place in Lautoka, Fiji from May 6th to May 14th, 2024.
After a two-week trial, a 21-member training squad has been selected, from which a final squad of sixteen (16) players will be confirmed for the tournament later this month.
The OFC Education and High-Performance desk has stated that the tournament aims to allow players, coaches, referees, and administrators from Oceania to experience an international football tournament in a safe environment with a focus on development.
The competition follows the principles of Player Welfare and Player Development and seeks to provide young footballers with the experience of an international format, including travel, competitive matches, and associated training.
