National U-14 Championships dates confirmed

The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) will host a national youth championship in Honiara after the LOC Committee of the event met this week and had confirmed that 2020 National U-14 Development Championships for both boys and girls has now been confirmed to take place from 28th September to 2nd October 2020.

SIFF has released $40.000 of administration grant to all PFAs preparation such as initial selection, identification and putting together of their U-14 teams.

Each PFA is allowed to put in a maximum of 2 x U14 boys team and 1 x women team. The total number of players per team is 12 players. The cut-off date of birth for players is 28th September 2007.

PFAs have until 31st July 2020 to confirm their participation and how many teams they are bringing to the Nationa U-14 Development championship.

PFAs have until 31st August to submit their final team lists to SIFF LOC accompanied with relevant birth documentations and player profile forms. 

PFAs who fail to submit their final team lists with complete required documentation for their players date of birth and player profile by 31st August 2020 will not be allowed to participate in the upcoming U14 national development championship as well as forfeit their share of the U14 preparation grants. 

PFAs who have met all the requirements will receive their preparation grants by 1st week of September 2020.

The championship will be played in a 7-a-side code at Lawson Tama which will be divided in mini-pitches.

Besides the tournaments, the Solomon Islands Just Play the department will deliver key social messages and awareness of Covid-19 and measures to stay healthy.
